True Love Waits 2006
Jayme was a Junior in High School, her boyfriend Troy was a senior. Troy was everything Jayme had ever wanted in a guy. For 8 months, they were inseparable. But 2 months before Troy left for college, he decided he didn't want to see Jayme any more."When we broke up, it was definitely the most difficult thing I had ever been through before" Jayme said. Even though they had never gone further than kissing, Jayme had completely given her heart and her emotions to Troy. Does all this sound familiar? What really is the point of dating? This year we will discuss God's view of relationships, and judge the current "Dating Culture" of America by the word of God. We will be teaching through Joshua Harris' book "I kissed Dating Goodbye".
We cannot pursue a passionate relationship with God and the world at the same time. My prayer for our youth group is that we find a refreshing sense of hunger for God, and leave the world's way of doing things behind.
